WRITE TO THE HOME OFFICE & YOUR MP
The coalition government pledged to reduce the number of animals used in scientific research; Inside the document ‘The Coalition: Our Programme for Government’ it says “we will end the testing of household products on animals and work to reduce the use of animals in scientific research”. However, last year, the number of animal experiments rose by 3%.
Write and ask the Home Office how allowing Harlan to continue operating, despite last year’s exposé, is supporting the aforementioned pledge. Ask them when an independent scientific enquiry into the efficacy of animal testing will be held and why, in light of Harlan’s horrific history, an independent police enquiry/investigation hasn’t been launched into its treatment of sentient beings and the state of the facilities they are bred in.
Ask your MP whether he/she would support a scientific enquiry into animal testing and, if they agree that Harlan should be the subject of an official investigation, would they be willing to raise this issue in Parliament.

Huntington Life Sciences (HLS) is perhaps the world’s most notorious laboratory and despite years of endless opposition, it is STILL open. Harlan supply HLS with beagles. Click here to take action against HLS today!

B&K Universal, just like Harlan, breed beagles for vivisection. B&K’s expansion plans were turned down by the UK government earlier this year BUT their Green Hill site in Italy is still open despite recently being exposed for animal cruelty. There are two petitions you can sign.
